DAY 6, DAY WITH THE HOST FAMILIES

Hoy, los alumnos han pasado el día con sus familias de acogida y nosotras hemos aprovechado para conocer un poco más de la ciudad.

Today, the students have spent the day with their host families and we thave taken the opportunity to get to know a bit more about the city.

A primera hora hemos ido al Kunsthalle, uno de los principales museos de arte de Hamburgo, allí hemos tenido la suerte de ver la obra la obra de Caspar David Friedrich, Caminante sobre un mar de nubes.

First thing in the morning we have gone to the Kunsthalle, one of Hamburg's main art museums, where we have been lucky enough to see Caspar David Friedrich's work, Walker on a Sea of Clouds.

Al mediodía hemos hecho un recorrido en bicicleta por la ciudad donde hemos conocido a dos profesoras italianas con las que hemos intercambiado teléfonos para seguir en contacto y hablar de futuros proyectos en común.

At the evening we have gone on a bicycle tour of the city where we have met two Italian teachers with whomwe have exchanged telephone numbers to keep in touch and talk about future projects together. 

Al final de la tarde ,hemos quedado con Julie, una de las profesoras de Hamburgo, y hemos acordado la hora y punto de encuentro con las familias para la despedida de mañana. Nuestra aventura está llegando a su fin.

At the end of the afternoon We have met Julie, one of the teachers from Hamburg, and we have agreed the time and meeting point with the families for tomorrow's farewell. Our great experience it is coming to its end.

 

Day 5 (Hamburg) LAST DAY IN THE SCHOOL

Hemos comenzado la mañana con una clase de español en la que el alumnado ha formulado preguntas a nuestros estudiantes para saber más sobre ellos y sobre España. Además de responder a sus preguntas, han desayunado juntos y hemos bailado sevillanas para comenzar el día con ambiente festivo.

We started the morning with a Spanish class in which the students asked our students questions to find out more about themselves and Spain. As well as answering their questions, they have had breakfast together and we also danced sevillanas to start the day in a festive atmosphere. 

 

Después nos hemos acercado al centro para seguir conociendo Hamburgo, esta ciudad está llena de rincones con encanto que merece la pena visitar. Acompañados de las profesoras y estudiantes alemanes, hemos dado un paseo por el parque a orillas del río Alster y conocido la plaza del Ayuntamiento.

Afterwards we went to the city centre to get to know Hamburg, this city is full of charming places worth visiting. Accompanied by the teachers and German students, we took a walk through the park on the banks of the river Alster and visited the Rathaus or Town Hall.

Tras unas horas de tiempo libre, nos hemos reencontrado en el instituto para celebrar un encuentro con padres, profesores y alumnos. Anissa, Julie y Fabian han preparado un picoteo de comida turca para todos y luego un acto con parte del equipo directivo en el que han reconocido el trabajo bien hecho de ambas partes de este intercambio. El acto ha finalizado con la reproducción de un montaje fotografías y vídeos de esta movilidad, tanto en Algeciras como en Hamburgo. 

After a few hours of free time, we met up again at the school for an event with parents, teachers and students. Anissa, Julie and Fabian prepared a snack of Turkish food for everyone and then a ceremony with some of the management team in which they recognised the good work done on both sides of this exchange. The event ended with a montage of photos and videos of this mobility, both in Algeciras and Hamburg.  

Agradecemos mucho a Julie, Anissa y Fabian toda la atención y hospitalidad que nos han brindado durante esta semana en la escuela. Esperamos que nuestros lazos sigan unidos y podamos realizar futuros proyectos juntos, está siendo muy fácil y satisfactorio trabajar con ellos. 

We would like to thank Julie, Anissa and Fabian for all the attention and hospitality they have given us during this week at the school. We hope that our ties will continue and that we will be able to carry out future projects together, it has been very easy and satisfying to work with them.  

Split (Croacia) Day 6

 Nuestro último dia de curso ha comenzado con una puesta en practica de todo lo aprendido en el curso mediante un trabajo grupal con personas de diferentes paises. Nos hemos divertido mucho grabando divertidos videos con nuestros compañeros. Luego hemos llevado a cabo la evaluación del curso para finalizar con una emotiva entrega de certificados y una despedida de nuestros compañeros y nuestro divertido profesor Dario. Por la tarde hemos visitado los últimos rincones del centro historico de la ciudad y aprovechado para comprar algún que otro suvenir. 

Our last day of the course began with putting into practice everything learned in the course through group work with people from different countries. We have had a lot of fun recording fun videos with our colleagues. Then we carried out the evaluation of the course to end with an emotional presentation of certificates and a farewell to our classmates and our fun teacher Dario. In the afternoon we visited the last corners of the historic center of the city and took the opportunity to buy some souvenirs.

Split (Croacia) Day 5

 Durante la mañana de hoy nos hemos desplazado hacia un idilio paraje cercano al rio Zmovnica cerca a la ciudad donde entre plantas aromáticas y una variada vegetación hemos puesto en práctica dinámicas de trabajo en grupo. Tras el almuerzo hemos disfrutado de una interesante visita virtual de Palacio de Diocleciano. Tras esto tocó prepararse para la  gala de despedida donde hemos tenido ocasión de compartir experiencias con todos nuestros compañeros Erasmus.

During this morning we moved to an idyllic spot near the Zmovnica River near the city where, among aromatic plants and varied vegetation, we put into practice group work dynamics. After lunch we enjoyed an interesting virtual tour of Diocletian's Palace. After this it was time to prepare for the farewell gala where we had the opportunity to share experiences with all our Erasmus colleagues.

DAY 4 (Hamburg) Elba river

 Hoy hemos comenzado el día en el instituto, a primera hora han asistido a clase y después nos hemos reunido para trabajar en el proyecto Erasmus. Hemos comenzado a grabar los primeros vídeos con los que realizaremos la memoria de este viaje y en los que compartiremos las impresiones del alumnado sobre Hamburgo.

Today we have started the day at the High School, first of all they attended class and then we met to work on the Erasmus project. We have started to record the first videos with which we will make the memory of this trip and in which we will share the students' impressions of Hamburg. 

Después de comer nos hemos acercado al centro de la ciudad. a la orilla del río Elba donde hemos cogido un ferry que nos ha llevado hasta la playa de Hamburgo y desde el que hemos disfrutado de las vistas del puerto. Si el de Algeciras os parece grande, tenéis que ver este.

After lunch we have gone to the city centre, to the banks of the river Elbe where we have taken a ferry that have taken us to the beach of Hamburg and from where we enjoyed the views of the harbour. If the one in Algeciras looks big to you, you have to see this one. 

 

Antes de comenzar el paseo en ferry nos han llevado a conocer el túnel que cruza el río a 23 m de profundidad. Una impresionante obra de ingeniería realizada en el SXIX y que permite el paso de personas y bicicletas de una orilla a otra.

Before starting the ferry ride, we were taken to see the tunnel that crosses the river at a depth of 23 metres. An impressive work of engineering made in the 19th century that allows people and bicycles to cross from one bank to the other. 

Para reponer fuerzas, hemos probado el típico bocadillo de pescado que puedes encontrar en varios de los restaurantes y puestos del muelle. Si venís, no podéis perdéroslo.

To regain our strength, we have tried the typical fish sandwich that you can find in several of the restaurants and stalls on the quayside. If you come, you can't miss it.

DAY 3, VISITING THE CITY

 

Hoy la clase se ha trasladado a la ciudad, ¡nos hemos ido de excursión!. Nuestras colegas alemanas han planteado 

una actividad muy interesante en la que hemos tenido la oportunidad de conocer dos lugares emblemáticos de 

Hamburgo: la Elphilharmonie y la Speicherstadt. 

 

Today the class has moved to the city, we have gone on an excursion! Our German colleagues have prepared

a very interesting activity in which we had the opportunity to visit two emblematic places in Hamburg: the 

Elphilharmonie and the Speicherstadt.

 

La Elphilharmonie, o Filarmónica del Elba, es un edificio de ladrillo y cristal que destaca en el Skyline de la ciudad. 

Pudimos entrar en él y pasear por su terraza, sacando unas bonitas fotos del inmenso puerto de Hamburgo y otras 

partes de la ciudad. Después de eso, pasamos por otro de los símbolos de la ciudad: el Speicherstadt o Barrio de 

almacenes, declarado Patrimonio de la humanidad por la UNESCO, alberga edificios sustentados sobre pilares de 

madera y rodeado de canales. Estos edificios eran esenciales para almacenar toda la mercancía del puerto antes de 

que comenzase a desarrollarse el tráfico marítimo con contenedores. A nuestros alumnos les ha parecido muy 

interesante comprobar de cerca la gran conexión que existe entre Hamburgo y Algeciras gracias a su carácter 

marítimo y portuario.

The Elphilharmonie, or Elbe Philharmonic, is a brick and glass building that stands out in the city skyline. We were 

able to enter it and walk around its terrace, taking some nice photos of Hamburg's immense harbor and other parts 

of the city. After that, we passed by another of the symbols of the city: the Speicherstadt or Warehouse District, 

declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, containes buildings supported on wooden pillars and surrounded by 

canals. These buildings were essential for storing all the port's wares before container shipping began to develop. 

Our students found it very interesting to see first hand the great connection between Hamburg and Algeciras thanks 

to its maritime and port character.

 

  

El broche a este día se lo ha puesto la visita a Chocoversum, el museo del chocolate. Lo que a simple vista parecía 

un simple tour, ha terminado siendo un interesante recorrido por el origen del chocolate, desde el fruto del cacao 

hasta su elaboración y disfrute. Además, pudimos hacer nuestra propia tableta de chocolate con los toppings que más 

nos gustaban. Simplemente maravilloso.

The highlight of the day was a visit to Chocoversum, the chocolate museum. What at first glance seemed like a 

simple tour, ended up being an interesting journey through the origin of chocolate, from the cocoa fruit to its 

elaboration and enjoyment. In addition, we were able to make our own chocolate bar with the toppings we liked the 

most. Simply wonderful.

 

 

 

Tras esta intensa actividad, nuestros alumnos se quedaron con sus amigos de acogida y pasaron la tarde juntos. 

Nosotras aprovechamos para hacer un free tour por el Barrio de San Pauli.

 

After this intense activity, our students stayed with their host friends to spend the evening together. We took the 

opportunity to take a free tour of the St. Pauli district.

 

 

DAY 2, GETTING TO KNOW GYULA TREBITSCH SCHULE TONNDORF

El día de ayer ha estado marcado por el reencuentro de nuestros alumnos con sus chicos alemanes, 

fue muy bonito ver cómo formaban un grupo en el que se mezclaba el alumnado alemán y español con total 

naturalidad. También a nosotras nos hizo mucha ilusión encontrarnos de nuevo  con Julie y Anissa.

 

Yesterday was marked by the rmeeting of our students with their German students, it was very nice to see how 

they formed a group in which the German and Spanish students mixed naturally. We were also very happy to meet 

Julie and Anissa again.

 

  

Visitamos el instituto y tuvimos la suerte de entrar en una clase de español en la que nuestros alumnos ayudaron 

en diferentes actividades y en la que los alemanes pudieron disfrutar de un listening con acento andaluz.

Después del recreo estuvimos reunidas con el alumnado español definiendo el producto final de nuestro proyecto 

ERASMUS+, un vlog en el que compartirán sus vivencias e impresiones contrastando las ideas iniciales con las del 

final de esta experiencia. 

 

We visited the High School and were lucky enough to join a Spanish class where our students helped with different 

activities and where the Germans could enjoy a listening task with an Andalusian accent.

After the break we met with the Spanish students to define the final product of our ERASMUS project, 

a vlog in which they will share their experiences and impressions contrasting the initial ideas with those of the

end of this experience.

 

 

 

 

Por la tarde, los alumnos hicieron planes con sus familias de acogida y amigos y nosotras aprovechamos para visitar 

el delta del Elba y conocer el puerto de Hamburgo.

 

In the afternoon, the students made plans with their host families and friends and we took the opportunity to visit the 

Elbe Delta and visit the port of Hamburg.

 

Split (Croacia) Day 4

 Hoy hemos comenzado el dia con una clase sobre "Qué hace a un profesor bueno"  tras esto hemos tomado un barco hacia la cercana isla de Brac donde hemos conocido el pueblo de Supetar donde hemos comido con todos nuestros compañeros Erasmus. Tras esto hemos tomado un bus que nos ha subido hacia la montaña donde pretendíamos disfrutar de una magnífica vista del mar Adriático pero a causa de la niebla nos hemos quedado con las ganas. Tras esto hemos conocido la preciosa playa cercana al pueblecito costero donde ha terminado nuestra visita.

Today we started the day with a class on "What makes a good teacher" after which we took a boat to the nearby island of Brac where we visited the town of Supetar where we had lunch with all our Erasmus classmates. After this we took a bus that took us to the mountain where we intended to enjoy a magnificent view of the Adriatic Sea but because of the fog we were left wanting. After this we visited the beautiful beach near the coastal town where our visit ended.

Split (Croacia) Day 3

 Comenzamos el día con una intensa formación en relajación y Mindfullness para aplicarla a nuestro alumnado a través de divertidas dinámicas de respiración y relajación muscular, todo esto en un paraje idílico. Durante la tarde hemos conocido la pintoresca Villa de Trogir. Un día frenético cargado de buenas sensaciones que nos llevamos a casa.

We start the day with intense training in relaxation and Mindfulness to apply to our students through fun breathing and muscle relaxation dynamics, all in an idyllic setting. During the afternoon we visited the picturesque town of Trogir. A frenetic day full of good sensations that we took home.

Split (Croacia) Day 2

 Durante la mañana hemos aprendido sobre Mindfullness y gestión del estrés en una clase al aire libre en un paraje encantador. Tras esto hemos disfrutado de un merecido arroz negro plato tipico aquí en Split. Ya por la tarde una guía fantástica nos ha enseñado el casco histórico de la ciudad y todos sus fantásticos rincones llenos de historia para terminar recorriendo el bonito puerto que tiene la ciudad. 

During the morning we learned about Mindfulness and stress management in an outdoor class in a charming location. After this we enjoyed a well-deserved black rice, a typical dish here in Split. In the afternoon, a fantastic guide showed us the historic center of the city and all its fantastic corners full of history to finish by touring the beautiful port that the city has.

¡Europa cuenta contigo!: Hamburgo/ Europe counts on you!: Hamburg

Esta vez nos vamos con el alumnado a Hamburgo. Durante una semana van a vivir con familias alemanas para mejorar su expresión oral en lengua inglesa y desarrollar su identidad europea. Y una vez más,¡Comienza la aventura! 

This time, we go to Hamburg with our students. They are going to stay with German families for a week improving their English, learning about their culture, traditions,,, and developing their European identity. And once again, the adventure begins!!

Split (Croacia) Day 1

Tras la presentación del curso y la velada de ayer en la que tuvimos ocasión de conocer a nuestros compañeros procedentes de distintas partes de Europa y la gastronomía de los distintos países, hoy hemos empezado con nuestra primera sesión del curso sobre abandono escolar temprano. La primera clase comenzó con una puesta en común sobre los retos que afrontan los docentes del siglo XXI, tras esto hemos tenido ocasión de conocer datos sobre el abandono escolar temprano en Europa así como sobre inteligencia emocional. Durante la tarde hemos visitado una colina desde donde las vistas de la ciudad eran espectaculares y hemos terminado visitando el Palacio de Diocleciano, totalmente integrado en la vida de la ciudad.

After the presentation of the course and yesterday's evening in which we had the opportunity to meet our colleagues from different parts of Europe and the gastronomy of different countries, today we started with our first session of the course on early school leaving. The first class began with a discussion about the challenges faced by teachers in the 21st century. After this we had the opportunity to learn about data on early school leaving in Europe as well as emotional intelligence. During the afternoon we visited a hill from where the views of the city were spectacular and we ended up visiting Diocletian's Palace, totally integrated into the life of the city.

Split: Aprendiendo sobre la prevención del abandono escolar temprano/ Learning about preventing early school leaving.

Nuestro proyecto "Creciendo en verde para crecer sosteniblemente" termina con esta última movilidad. Nuestro director y orientador se han desplazado hasta Split (Croacia) para llevar a cabo un curso relacionado con la prevención del abandono escolar temprano. Aprenderán diferentes técnicas y nuevos métodos para motivar a nuestros estudiantes.

Our project "Thinking in green to grow sustainably " finishes with this last mobility. Our principal and counsellor have moved to Split (Croatia) to carry out a course dealing with preventing early school leaving. They will learn different techniques and new methods to motivate our students.

Bačka Palanka. Day 5

Terminamos la semana con la asistencia a una clase de Inglés en el colegio de primaria “Sveti Sava”, donde alumnos de 3° grado explican a sus compañeros de 1°, la importancia de cuidar el ecosistema mediante juegos y canciones. Nos pareció una clase amena y divertida donde hubo una gran participación por parte del alumnado. 

Luego, pasamos a otra clase donde un grupo de alumnos de un nivel superior hicieron una exposición sobre distintos aspectos relacionados con el agua de su propio entorno.

Visitamos el patio del centro en el que había dos contenedores de madera que contenían “compost” de restos orgánicos, y la biblioteca del centro la cual está muy bien equipada de libros y ordenadores. 

Charlamos con algunas profesoras del centro con las que intercambiamos impresiones sobre el proyecto eco escuela. Les mostramos  la web del instituto y del proyecto eco escuela. Con algunos de los proyectos quedan bastante impresionadas.

Por la tarde, estuvimos visitando el casco histórico de la ciudad de Subotica, de la cual nos impresionó algunos de sus edificios levantados bajo el estilo Art Nouveau, como la sinagoga o el ayuntamiento.

We ended the week by attending an English class at  "Sveti Sava" Elementary School where 3rd grade students taught to their 1st grade classmates the importance about taking care of the ecosystem through games and songs. We found it a fun and enjoyable lesson where there was a great participation from the students. 

Then, we moved on to another class where a group of students gave a presentation on different aspects related of water in their own environment.

We visited the school playground where we were shown two wooden bin containing "compost" of organic waste, and the school library which is very well equipped with books and computers. 

We chatted with some of the school's teachers and shared our impressions of the eco-school project. We showed them the school’s website and the eco-school project. They were quite impressed by some of the projects.

In the afternoon, we visited the old town of Subotica, where we were impressed by some of the Art Nouveau buildings, such as the synagogue and the town hall.

Bačka Palanka. Day 4

En la mañana de hoy hemos podido asistir como observadoras a una clase de Cocina, otra sobre Cuidado del media ambiente y por último, una de Alemán. Al igual que ayer, estas clases vuelven a girar en torno al cuidado del ecosistema. Nos llama la atención sobre todo la clase de cocina, pues a través de ella nos enseñan recetas y algunos métodos para reutilizar los desechos orgánicos, como por ejemplo el “compost”, que es un abono obtenido a partir de desperdicios.

A mediodía, tenemos el placer de degustar junto al director Tomislav, Mileva y María un rico tentempié muy típico de la zona, para pasar posteriormente a visitar el museo de la ciudad y poder así conocer un poco más sobre su historia. También visitamos el hipódromo que aunque cuenta con establos con caballos de diferentes razas, está en desuso desde hace cinco años.

Por la tarde, acudimos al colegio “Vuk  karadčić” donde se da clases a niños desde los 6 años hasta los 13-14años. Allí asistimos a una clase de Inglés en la que los alumnos nos hacen exposiciones sobre los objetivos de desarrollo sostenible. 

Para poner punto y final a nuestro día hemos tenido la suerte de disfrutar de una obra de teatro representada por alumnos y alumnas del colegio de secundaria al que hemos estado asistiendo estos días. Curiosamente, el teatro llamado “Proscenium” está ubicado dentro de la casa de nuestra traductora que se dedica a dar clases de interpretación a los chicos y chicas de la ciudad, contando ya con hasta 70 alumnos/as en sus clases. 

El trabajo de los actores ha sido impecable y a nosotras nos ha encantado a pesar de no haber entendido ni una palabra.

This morning we’ve observed a cooking class, an environmental class and a German class. Just like yesterday, these classes are all about caring for the ecosystem. The cooking class is particularly interesting, as it teaches us recipes and methods for reusing organic waste, such as "compost", which is a fertiliser made from waste.

At midday, we have the pleasure of tasting a delicious local snack with director Tomislav, Mileva and Maria, and then we visit the town museum to learn a little more about its history. We also visited the racecourse which, although it has stables with horses of different breeds, has not been use for the last five years.

In the afternoon, we went to the Elementary School “Vuk karadčić" where children from 6 years old to 13-14 years old are taught. There we visited an English class where the students gave presentations on the Sustainable Development Goals. 

At the end of the day, we were lucky enough to enjoy a play performed by students from the secondary school we have been attending these days. Curiously, the theatre called "Proscenium" is located in the house of our translator, who is dedicated to giving acting classes to the boys and girls of the city, with up to 70 students in her classes. 

The work of the actors was impeccable and we loved it, even though we didn't understand a word .

Bačka Palanka. Day 3

Hoy hemos podido estar presente en dos clases, ambas enfocadas con la sostenibilidad y el cuidado del medio ambiente. Por un lado, una lección  de Ecología , y por otro, una de Matemáticas  y Economía. El desarrollo de las clases nos ha parecido muy similar al nuestro, con la diferencia de que en ambas los alumnos han interactuado bastante con los móviles con permiso de las profesoras buscando información.

Posteriormente, hemos podido conocer al director del centro, Tomislav Đuretić, y mantener una pequeña conversación con él. 

Con Tajtana hemos podido familiarizarnos con el procedimiento para la obtención de la bandera eco.

Finalmente, nos dirigimos hacia la ciudad de Novi Sad, situada a una media hora de Backa Palanka. Esta cuidad fue galardonada en 2022 como Capital Europea de la Cultura y Capital Europea de la Juventud en 2019. La ciudad  posee una arquitectura notablemente diferente a otras urbes serbias. Se caracteriza además por una gran cantidad de bares y restaurante de moda y por ser un espacio de encuentro de culturas. Algunos de los lugares que pudimos visitar fueron: la fortaleza Petrovaradin, la sinagoga y la plaza de la libertad.

A la vuelta, nos esperaba Mileva que nos llevó al lago de Bačka Palanka que hace frontera con Croacia. A este país se puede llegar fácilmente a pie desde la ciudad en la que nos alojamos. 

Terminamos el día con la idea de que a pesar de que es un lugar totalmente desconocido también tiene algunos rincones con encanto.

Today we had the opportunity to be present in two classes, both focused on sustainability and care for the environment. One was an Ecology lesson, and the other was a maths and Economics lesson. The development of the classes was very similar to our school, with the difference that in both classes the students interacted a lot with their mobiles with the permission of the teachers looking for information.

Afterwards, we were able to meet the director of the school, Tomislav Đuretić, and have a short conversation with him. 

With Tajtana we were able to learn about the procedure for obtaining the eco flag.

Finally, we headed towards the town of Novi Sad, located about half an hour from Backa Palanka. This city was awarded the title of European Capital of Culture in 2022 and European Youth Capital in 2019. The city's architecture is strikingly different from other Serbian cities. It is also characterised by a large number of trendy bars and restaurants and is a meeting place of cultures. Some of the places we visited were: the Petrovaradin fortress, the synagogue and the liberty square.

On the way back, Mileva was waiting for us and took us to the lake of Bačka Palanka, which borders Croatia. This country can be easily reached on foot from the town where we stayed. 

We ended the day with the idea that although it is a totally unknown place, it also has some charming corners.
