El segundo día en el colegio empezó presentando la actividad que hemos hecho en todos los centros que participan en el proyecto. Los anfitriones, Islandia, lo titularon The Sagas. Se trataba de hacer que nuestros alumnos leyesen alguna obra representativa de su propio país y que luego realizasen una actividad relacionada con la escritura creativa. El resultado en nuestro centro fue el siguiente:
The second day at school started with the activity we have been doing in the five schools which takes part in this project. The hosts, Iceland, called it The Sagas. We were supposed to make our students read a traditional book important in their own country. Later they would have to do any activity related to creative writing. The result at our school was the following:
Después de tomar algo en el centro islandés, tuvimos el honor de ser recibidos por el presidente de Islandia en su residencia, donde pudimos conversar con él, de manera muy amigable, sobre la labor docente hoy en día y la importancia de estos proyectos Erasmus+.
After having something to eat at the Icelandic school, we had the honor of being received by the president of Iceland at his official home, where we could talk to him, in a really friendly way, about the jog of a teacher and the importance of these Erasmus+ projects.
Por la noche, nos invitaron a celebrar un festival de invierno, donde pudimos degustar comida tradicional islandesa. Más tarde fuimos a dar un paseo por la ciudad, Hafnarfjörður.
In the evening, we were invited to a midwinter feast, where we could taste a traditional Icelandic meal. Later, we went for a walk along the town, Hafnarfjörður.
